This past weekend I went to the No Depression Festival at Marymoor Park in Redmond. Marymoor is such a fab park, with it’s wide open spaces, multiple sports fields, concrete paths for walking or biking, climbing wall and FANTASTIC dog park. We’re usually there to take advantage of the dog park and let our furbabies swim and run a bit, but on Saturday we went to hear some folk and Americana music.

I wrote about the fest, which wasn’t as awesome as I’d hoped but still some good times layin’ around in the sun (despite my painful and debilitating groin pull). I also penned my first review piece for my buddy, and influential Seattle music blogger Chris B, at his website Another Rainy Saturday. The write-up is a review of a recent remix album of three of Four Tet’s original tracks, called Angel Echoes.

I’m working on a very special project for someone’s very special brand new baby, and I can’t wait to show you pictures. Embroidery is my current craft of choice. I really want to find a rad way to incorporate sewing and embroidery into one badass item. I’m going to try my hand at making more acrylic pendants today… I’ll let you know how they turn out!
